The Art of Thangka

Thangka paintings are sacred scroll paintings produced in Tibet, Nepal, and Bhutan, depicting Buddhist deities, mandalas, and scenes from sacred texts. The word thangka means "recorded message" — each painting is a visual dharma teaching, a meditation support, and a work of devotional art all at once.

Our paintings are produced by master artists trained in the traditional thangka style, using mineral pigments ground from semi-precious stones — lapis lazuli, malachite, cinnabar — on hand-woven cotton canvas. The process for a single painting spans weeks to months.

Each piece in our collection has been personally selected for its spiritual integrity and artistic excellence. We work directly with artists to ensure fair compensation and the preservation of this irreplaceable tradition.
